Kasia Niewiadoma has shared the aftermath of her dramatic crash at Strade Bianche, revealing the extent of her injuries on social media. The 2024 Tour de France Femmes winner was hospitalized following a high-speed incident that involved several riders, including her Canyon-SRAM teammate, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sojka.

The crash took place during a technical descent, where Niewiadoma lost control on a corner and collided with a guardrail. The impact temporarily brought five other riders to a halt, creating a chaotic scene on the iconic gravel roads of Tuscany.
On Monday morning, Niewiadoma posted a photo to social media showing deep road rash and heavy bruising. Alongside the image, she wrote: “I would always feel disappointed missing out on the podium in Strade Bianche! I guess I got a different perspective now! It always could be worse, so I’m grateful for what I’ve got in this case, pretty strong bones.”

Despite the severity of the crash, both Niewiadoma and Skalniak-Sojka were fortunate to avoid serious injuries no broken bones or concussions were reported. Still, the recovery process will be challenging, as the riders heal from visible and painful surface wounds.
